Kiwi Cycle was a playful mobile game created for Heineken’s Old Mout Cider as part of a campaign to help protect the kiwi bird from extinction. Players guide a kiwi bird riding a unicycle along cycle tracks, steering left and right to avoid rocks and puddles while collecting as much fruit as possible.

The game was designed to draw people in with a fun, rewarding experience while also raising awareness of the campaign and how people could help. Free Old Mout Cider was used as an incentive, encouraging engagement while reinforcing the brand message. The kiwi’s movement was created using a sequence of hand-drawn illustrations, with additional animations, including the unicycle fall, produced in After Effects.
